Rockin' Bones: On Fire 2001

 

Punk Rock'n'Roll band formed in 1991 in Athens, Greece. Formed at Ampelokipi, a suburban of

Athens , back in 1991. Their first gig took place at an underground bar, in the neighborhood ,under the name of “The other Side”. On 2/7/2001 they were scheduled to perform live at 'Rockwave Festival' (OAKA, Athens) along with 'Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds', 'Charlatans', 'Madrugada' & 'Fall', but after a cataclysmic rain the whole show was cancelled! In early 2008, Fuzz(ex-'Personality Crisis' guitarist) joined the band (R.I.P.).
                       

Bones began their journey in December '91 with their core line-up: Babi Bone - guitar, S. Pyros. D. -

drums, Nick Cage - the bass. A few months after the first rehearsals, the voice of Harry 'Bugs' is incorporated in early '92 and the party begins! A few but explosive live performances and a 7" with three of their tracks ('Psychomama'/ 'Torpedo' / 'Never more') put the group on the map of the Greek independent scene, and Bones discovers fire!
                            

The explosive live shows continue, several demo recordings and a second 7" ('Attitude' / 'Mary Jane'),

establish the new form of the band: Babi Bone - guitar, S. Pyros D. - drums, vocals, Nick Cage - the bass, some vox, Adonis - guitar. Uncontrolled r'n'r situations, a small but very fan for fun core of fans, the appreciation and acceptance from people in the field (musicians - press) justify their decisions, reward their efforts.

Οι Bones ξεκίνησαν την πορεία τους το Δεκέμβριο του '91 με βασικό πυρήνα τους : Babi Bone - guitar,

S. Pyros. D. - drums, Nick Cage - the bass. Λίγους μήνες μετά τις πρώτες πρόβες, ενσωματώνεται στις αρχές του '92 η φωνή του Harry 'Bugs' και το πάρτυ αρχίζει! Λίγα αλλά εκρηκτικά live και ένα 7" με τρία κομμάτια τους ('Psychomama'/ 'Torpedo' / 'Never more') βάζουν το γκρουπ στο χάρτη της ελληνικής ανεξάρτητης σκηνής, και οι Bones ανακαλύπτουν τη φωτιά!
                             

Η αποχώρηση του Harry το '95 από το γκρουπ, αναγκάζει τους Bones να σκεφτούν για πρώτη φορά σοβαρά και να αποφασίσουν ποια θα είναι η συνέχεια. Σ'αυτό το σημείο έχοντας και την υποστήριξη του Άδωνι, ο οποίος ήδη τζαμάρει με το γκρουπ πριν την αποχώρηση του Harry. Αδιαφορώντας πόσο

καιρό θα τους πάρει, μιας και κανείς στο παρελθόν δεν έχει εμπειρία φωνητικών, ανακαλύπτουν ότι το πάθος και το πόσο πιστεύεις σ'αυτά που λες, είναι η δύναμη να προχωρήσεις, και η φωτιά φουντώνει! Τα εκρηκτικά live συνεχίζονται, αρκετές demo ηχογραφήσεις και ένα δεύτερο 7" ('Attitude' / 'Mary Jane'), εδραιώνουν τη νέα μορφή της μπάντας : Babi Bone - guitar, S. Pyros D. - drums, vocals, Nick Cage - the bass, some vox, Άδωνις - guitar.
                            

Ανεξέλεγκτες r'n'r καταστάσεις, ένας μικρός, αλλά πολύ fan for fun πυρήνας οπαδών, η εκτίμηση αλλά

και η αποδοχή από άτομα του χώρου (μουσικοί - τύπος) δικαιώνουν τις αποφάσεις τους, επιβραβεύουν τις προσπάθειές τους και γίνονται οι κύριοι λόγοι που κρατάνε τους Bones στο παιχνίδι, και η φωτιά δυναμώνει!

I bought this CD in a music bazaar many years ago and it was schratched, so my EAC Program denies to conveert it in Flac and the Mp3  (Track No 9 at 2:20') has a little problem.
