Θέμα: πανδημία κέρδους

Κάθε χρόνο παγκοσμίως πεθαίνουν δύο εκατομμύρια άνθρωποι από μαλάρια, κάτι το οποίο θα μπορούσε να αποφευχθεί με μια κουνουπιέρα.
Οι δημοσιογράφοι δεν λένε τίποτα γι’αυτό.

Κάθε χρόνο παγκοσμίως πεθαίνουν δύο εκατομμύρια παιδιά από διάρροια, κάτι το οποίο θα μπορούσε να αποφευχθεί με ένα σιρόπι των 25 σέντς.

Και οι δημοσιογράφοι δεν λένε τίποτα γι’ αυτό.

Ιλαρά, πνευμονία, ασθένειες θεραπεύσιμες με φτηνά εμβόλια είναι υπεύθυνες για το θάνατο δεκάδων εκατομμυρίων ανθρώπων παγκοσμίως κάθε χρόνο.
Και οι δημοσιογράφοι δεν λένε τίποτα.

Είναι κάποια χρόνια που εμφανίστηκε η γνωστή πια γρίπη των πουλερικών.

Παγκοσμίως οι δημοσιογράφοι μας πλημμύρισαν με πληροφορίες, πανικό, σήματα κινδύνου.

Επιδημία, η πιο επικίνδυνη απ’ όλες, μια πανδημία!!!
Μιλάγανε μόνο για την τρομακτική αυτή ασθένεια των πουλερικών.
Και βέβαια, η γρίπη των πουλερικών προκάλεσε το θάνατο μόλις 250 ατόμων παγκοσμίως. 250 θάνατοι σε 10 χρόνια, δηλαδή αναλογικά 25 θάνατοι το χρόνο.

Η κοινή γρίπη σκοτώνει μισό εκατομμύριο ανθρώπων το χρόνο παγκοσμίως.

Μισό εκατομμύριο έναντι 25.

Για ένα λεπτό. Τότε γιατί τόση φασαρία με τη γρίπη των πουλερικών;

Γιατί πίσω από αυτά τα κοτόπουλα υπήρχε ένας «κόκορας», ένας κόκορας με μεγάλο λειρί.

Η διεθνής φαρμακευτική Roche με το πασίγνωστο Tamiflú της πούλησε εκατομμύρια δόσεων στις Ασιατικές χώρες.


Ακόμα και αν το Tamiflú έχει αμφίβολη αποτελεσματικότητα, η Βρετανική Κυβέρνηση αγόρασε 14 εκατομμύρια δόσεις για την πρόληψη του πληθυσμού της.


Με την γρίπη των πτηνών, η Roche και η Relenza, οι δύο μεγάλες φαρμακευτικές εταιρείες που προμηθεύουν την αγορά με αντιγριππικά, κέρδισαν χιλιάδες εκατομμύρια δολάρια.


Πρώτα με τα πουλερικά και τώρα με τα χοιρινά.

Ναι, τώρα ξεκίνησε η ψύχωση της γρίπης των χοίρων. Και όλοι οι δημοσιογράφοι του κόσμου μιλάνε μόνο γι’αυτό.

Πια δεν λένε τίποτα για την οικονομική κρίση ούτε τους βασανισμένους στο Guantánamo.


Μόνο για τη γρίπη των χοίρων.


Και διερωτώμαι: αν πίσω από τα πτηνά υπήρχε ένας «κόκορας», πίσω από τα γουρουνάκια να μην υπάρχει ένα «μεγάλο γουρούνι»;


Ας δούμε τι λέει ένας υπεύθυνος των εργαστηρίων της Roche.
ROCHE: Εμάς μας απασχολεί πολύ αυτή η πανδημία, τόσος πόνος, γι’ αυτό δίνουμε στην αγορά το θαυματουργό Tamiflú.


- Και πόσο πωλείται το «θαυματουργό» Tamiflú;

- Λοιπόν, είναι 50 δολάρια το κουτί.

- 50 δολάρια το κουτί με τις κάψουλες;

- Πρέπει να καταλάβετε κυρία ότι τα θαύματα πληρώνονται ακριβά.

- Αυτό που καταλαβαίνω είναι ότι αυτές οι εταιρείες βγάζουν μεγάλα κέρδη από τον δικό μας πόνο.

Η εταιρεία Gilead Sciences της Β. Αμερικής έχει την πατέντα του Tamiflú.
Ο κύριος μέτοχος αυτής της εταιρείας δεν είναι τίποτα περισσότερο από μία προσωπικότητα της αριστερής πολιτικής, τον Donald Rumsfeld, γραμματέα αμύνης του George Bush, υπεύθυνο για τον πόλεμο κατά του Ιράκ.

Οι μέτοχοι των φαρμακευτικών Roche και Relenza τρίβουν τα χέρια τους, είναι ευτυχείς με τις πωλήσεις τους, που για άλλη μια φορά φέρουν εκατομμύρια, του αμφίβολου Tamiflú. Η πραγματική πανδημία είναι η απληστία, τα τεράστια κέρδη αυτών των ιδιοτελών της υγείας.

Δεν αρνούμαστε τα απαραίτητα μέτρα πρόληψης που λαμβάνει η κάθε χώρα.

Αλλά αν η γρίπη των χοιρινών είναι μια φοβερή πανδημία απ’ ό,τι λένε τα μέσα ενημέρωσης, εάν τον Παγκόσμιο Οργανισμό Υγείας τον απασχολεί τόσο πολύ αυτή η ασθένεια, γιατί δεν τη δηλώνει ως παγκόσμιο πρόβλημα της δημόσιας υγείας και να δώσει εντολή να παρασκευασθούν γενικά φάρμακα για την αντιμετώπισή της; Να απορρίψει τις πατέντες της Roche και της Relenza και να κάνει διανομή δωρεάν γενικών φαρμάκων σε όλες τις χώρες και ειδικά στις πιο φτωχές. Αυτή θα ήταν η καλύτερη λύση.

Εντύπωση μου έκανε η δήλωση του Αβραμόπουλου , που είπε εμβολιασμό - δωρεάν - όλων των Ελλήνων , καθώς επίσης και η δήλωση - δεν θυμάμαι από ποιον - ότι όποιος θέλει να εμβολιαστεί θα υπογράφει υπεύθυνη δήλωση για τις ενδεχόμενες παρενέργειες του φαρμάκου,
κατά τα άλλα - τρομάρα μας - τρέξαμε να εξαφανίσουμε από τα φαρμακεία τα αντισηπτικά σαπούνια , τις μάσκες , οτιδήποτε νομίζουμε ότι μπορεί να μας προφυλάξει...
Δουλεύω σε νησί με τουρίστες από όλη την Ευρώπη , χωρίς πανικό και χωρίς φόβο.
Για ένα μόνο είμαι σίγουρος,
Δεν πρόκειται να κάνω το περιβόητο εμβόλιο...

Pearls Before Swine: Balaklava 1968

Pearls Before Swine was an American psychedelic folk band formed by Tom Rapp in 1965 in Eau Gallie, now part of Melbourne, Florida. They released six albums between 1967 and 1971, before Rapp launched a solo career.
                                                                                  

With high school friends Wayne Harley (banjo, mandolin), Lane Lederer (bass, guitar) and Roger Crissinger (piano, organ), Rapp wrote and recorded some songs which, inspired by the Fugs, they sent to the avant-garde ESP-Disk label in New York. The group took its name from a Bible passage: "Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine..." (Mat. 7:6, KJV), meaning: do not give things of value to those who will not understand or appreciate it. They were quickly signed up, and recorded One Nation Underground (1967), featuring songs of mysticism, protest, melancholia, and some controversy in the case of “Miss Morse”, which spelled out an obscenity in code. The album eventually sold some 200,000 copies, although management and contractual problems meant that the band received little reward for its success. Being such a small label, the success of "One Nation Underground" prompted a number of cover variations.

The more mysterious-sounding and strongly anti-war Balaklava (1968) followed, inspired by the Charge of the Light Brigade. Rapp has said "The first two albums are probably considered the druggiest, and I had never done any drugs at that point. I smoked Winston cigarettes at that time, so these are all Winston-induced hallucinations." The album covers featured paintings by Bosch and Brueghel. The records themselves included interpretations of the writings of Tolkien and Herodotus as well as archive recordings from the 1890s, with innovatively arranged songs using an eclectic variety of instruments.

New Riders Of The Purple Sage : New Riders 1976

Origins: Early 1960s – 1969

The roots of the New Riders can be traced back to the early 60s folk/bohemian/beatnik scene in San Francisco, where future Grateful Dead guitarist Jerry Garcia, then considered to be one of the finest banjo players of the folk revival, often played gigs with like-minded guitarist David Nelson. The young John Dawson, also known as "Marmaduke", from a well-to-do family centered in Millbrook, New York, also played some concerts with Garcia, Nelson, and their compatriots while visiting relatives on summer vacation. Enamored with the sounds of Bakersfield-style country music, Dawson would turn his older friends on to the work of Merle Haggard and Buck Owens while providing a vital link between the East Coast, Timothy Leary-dominated psychedelic scene and the West .


After attending a junior college in the Los Angeles area, Dawson returned to the Bay Area, where he decided to find his fortunes as a solo folksinger. Attending some of the Acid Tests and visiting the Dead at their commune in 1967, Dawson decided that it was his life's mission to combine the psychedelia of the San Francisco rock scene with his beloved electric country music. An early 1969 mescaline experience confirmed this, and the erstwhile perpetual student-cum-folkie began to compose songs on a regular basis. Some, such as "Glendale Train", were traditional country pastiches, while a number of others ("Last Lonely Eagle" and "Dirty Business") found him working in the milieu of a countrified Dead. Others, including the shuffle "Henry", were a combination of the two — traditional music combined with then-contemporary lyrics (the exploits of a marijuana smuggler, drug-related themes being a common motif in the New Riders' repertoire).

Rockin'Bones are Babi Bone (guitar-vocals),Nick Cage (bass-vocals), S.Pyros D.(drums, vocals) . Babi and S.Pyros D. also perform with another importan Greek group, The Earthbound. Surely these guys don't know what fatigue means. They formed the band in 1992 and till now, they have been an unstoppable R'n'R machine, specializing in R'n'R noise. In 1994 they released a 7'' e.p. " Psychomama" and 3 years later a 7'' single "Mary Jane". Some of their songs are on several Greek independent labels compilation. Influences range from 50's r'n'r bands, The Ramones, Social Distortion, The Last Drive (the most legendary Greek r'n'r band ever!) to Rancid and Hellacopters with an upretending lust for tattoos and velocity. Their first album "On Fire" was released in Vinylust Records (2001). The fans have waited for ages but it was worthwhile. On Fire contains 13 R'N'R dynamites ready to exlpode your cd player!!! A new 7" single is out now since last October (Broke)from Blind Bastard Records. In early 2008, Fuzzy (ex Personality Crisis guitarist) joined the band and Adonis now performs with his swingjazzy group the Swing Shoes. 2008 was a great but also a horrible year for the band. Konstantinos Fuzzy Papahronis, the young and crazy guitarist but also a talented actor and person got killed in a car accident the night of December 2nd. We all miss him! R.I.P. The band is now rehearsing for some new gigs within this year. Until then Stay Sick!!! WARNING: If it's too loud, maybe you're too old!!!!

dEUS : The Ideal Crash 1999

The Ideal Crash is the third studio album by the Belgian rock band dEUS , released in March 1999 . The album was recorded in Spain and it includes the single " Instant Street ", which became an underground hit in Europe . The album cover art is the first dEUS cd cover that does not feature a painting by ex-guitar player Rudy Trouvé .

The Ideal Crash was the first dEUS album to be directly released through a Major label (Island Records) but it's also the only dEUS album that didn't get a US release .

The album gained a quick success in Belgium by reaching Gold (25,000 copies) in one week . By April 2008 , The Ideal Crash had sold about 250,000 copies .

dEUS : In A Bar Under The Sea 1996

The band , whose songs are primarily sung in English , was founded in Antwerp in 1989 , but did not get its form until after Humo's Rock Rally of 1992 . In the tour that followed through Spain , set up by Filip Eyckmans , they laid the foundation for their sound . Deus displays a wide range of influences , including Captain Beefheart , Frank Zappa , Big Star , Sonic Youth , Flipper , Rapeman , Sun Ra and Mingus-style jazz , Leonard Cohen and the Velvet Underground . Consequently , they incorporate a wide variety of styles , including pop , folk , free jazz , noise rock and progressive into their work . They became the most successful (and influential) Belgian rock band ever .

THE HANDS OF CAIN were Dimitris Chorianopoulos (vocals, bass), Spyros ‘S. Adam’ Floros (drums), Costas Papakitsos (synthesizers) and Dimitris Stamatiou (guitar) from Athens, Greece. In 1983 the HANDS OF CAIN evolved from of one of the first groups of the Greek punk scene of the early 80’s called Ausschwitss when their music was gaining a darker shade and their lyrics were changing to English. Unlike their former group, the HANDS OF CAIN had very little public exposure, but built their reputation amongst the lively Athenian dark wave/post punk scene of the time with a few live gigs in clubs like ‘Skylab’ and ‘Pegasus’. They finally split up in November 1985, and although none of their recordings was ever released their fame lived on. An end was put to this local hidden secret when Dimitris ‘Profitis’ Petrou sent Anna two tracks in Autumn 2007, “Two Steps to the End” and “The Dagger in Me”. Anna was blown away by those tracks and couldn’t believe they have remained unreleased. Of course, this had to be changed. The quality of HOC’s song writing is amazing, these are just strong compositions, and without any doubt, this album will perfectly line up with the best ever goth/dark wave albums being so close to Christian Death’s first recordings as well as the best songs by Bauhaus. Their tracks are pure mid 80’s despair and melancholy, typical of the goth/dark wave scene of the time, although such terms as goth or dark-wave had not yet been invented by journalists back then. The material was (more or less) preserved on dusty 8mm reels and worn-out cassette tapes – it is thanks to Dave Hewson, who digitally transferred and restored these tracks, we owe you much gratitude, Dave – that these essential songs do not remain in total obscurity. Prepare yourself for a milestone not only in Greek music history, but also in goth/dark wave history!
