Eloy : Eloy 1971

Eloy was the debut album from German progressive rock band Eloy. It was released in 1971 , and is the most unknown album of the band .

The name Eloy is based on the book " The Time Machine " by H.G. Wells.

The Time Machine is a science fiction novella by H. G. Wells, published in 1895 for the first time and later adapted into at least two feature films of the same name , as well as two television versions, and a large number of comic book adaptations. It indirectly inspired many more works of fiction in many media.

This 32,000 word story is generally credited with the popularisation of the concept of time travel using a vehicle that allows an operator to travel purposefully and selectively. The term "time machine", coined by Wells, is now universally used to refer to such a vehicle. Wells introduces an early example of the Dying Earth subgenre as well.

Herbert George Wells (21 September 1866 – 13 August 1946) was an English author, now best known for his work in the science fiction genre. He was also a prolific writer in many other genres, including contemporary novels, history, politics and social commentary. Together with Jules Verne, Wells has been referred to as "The Father of Science Fiction".

ELOY

See the machine and follow me
and let us touch this history
stop in a time of changing season
see a land of nobody
people sitting 'round a river
consumptive nice and with garmets on
they are eating fruits
and do love the peace
and feel so happy all their time
they are called Eloy in this old story
but I think the are living in my mind
they are the world
I want to stay here
in this land of charity
spend my life
in a land of freedom.

VOICE OF REVOLUTION

I'm sure, the time will come
when we shall overcome
there's no more hesitation
for the sun will greet the day
I know you get your morning
people are near
ready to hear
trying to understand you
you still remember how people forget someone
therefore you have to call
up their minds in all
and if you realise
you can get your price
I want to know, how you just feel
when everyone get his meal
when freedom bells are ringing then.
