The Regrettes: Feel Your feelings Fool! 2017

The Regrettes were an American punk rock band, a Los Angeles-based teenage garage punk quartet

with a classicist pop bent and boundless energy. The band was led by frontwoman Lydia Night. They released three studio albums on Warner Bros. Records: Feel Your Feelings Fool! (2017), How Do You Love? (2019), and Further Joy (2022).

Head Regrette Lydia Night was in her teens when the band released their debut, Feel Your Feelings

Fool!, in 2017. While the record teemed with adolescent excitement, it also demonstrated a sense of craftsmanship that the group developed and deepened on the subsequent How Do You Love?, the sophomore album that arrived in 2019. With a series of singles in 2020 and 2021, the Regrettes began to move away from punk and new wave toward a vibrant, up-to-date pop sound on 2022's Further Joy.
Prior to the formation of the band, lead vocalist Lydia Night met guitarist Genessa Gariano, bassist Sage Chavis, and drummer Maxx Morando in music school. At the time, Gariano, Chavis and Morando

were in a band together, called "Genessa" and Night was in the two-piece band Pretty Little Demons (who changed their name to The Regrettes in the last few months of life) with drummer Marlhy Murphy. Both of the bands played a concert together, but soon after Murphy departed from the band after the release of their EP "Hey!" on October 16, 2015, leading to Night asking Gariano, Chavis, and Morando to join.

The "Hey!" EP came to the attention of a representative at Warner Brothers, which would eventually led to them signing the band. In 2016, the band toured with both Tacocat and Sleigh Bells, opened for

Kate Nash, and performed at South by Southwest. By that point, Night had several originals under her belt, all of which helped get the band signed to Warner Bros. "A Living Human Girl" appeared in the summer of 2016, followed by "Hey Now" and "Hot," all teasers for their full-length debut, Feel Your Feelings Fool!, released by Warner in early 2017.

On May 9, 2018, the band announced Morando's departure. On May 22, 2018, the tour bus containing

all their belongings was stolen from outside the Sunflower Lounge, Birmingham, UK where they later played a sold-out gig.  On May 31, 2018, the band contributed the sixth Hamildrop, a cover of the song "Helpless". Lin-Manuel Miranda credited producer Mike Elizondo as having suggested the idea. On September 3, 2018, the band announced Sage Chavis' departure, being replaced by Violet Mayugba.

On November 28, 2018, the band announced the departure of Mayugba and recruitment of Brooke Dickson as their new bass player. From February 6 to March 17, 2019, The Regrettes were the opening

act of Twenty One Pilots' European leg of The Bandito Tour. On June 18, 2019, the band announced their second studio album, How Do You Love?. The album was released on August 9, 2019. The Regrettes released their third studio album, Further Joy, on April 8, 2022. On November 14, 2023, the band announced that they were splitting up to "work on other projects." In tandem, they announced a farewell show at the Fonda Theater on December 21, 2023.

Be soft, be shy, read a book and learn to cook
Be nice, be dumb, clean the floors and wash your pores
Be light, be small, wear a dress below your knees, not less
Be insecure, be a wife, cater to one man for the rest of your life.

I heard that that girl Lydia is such a fucking bitch
I heard that she's a feminist so she must not shave her pits
I heard that that girl Lydia is nothin' but trouble
So if she comes your way you better book it on the double.

Wah oo wah wah wah ooooo
Wah oo wah wah wah ooooo
Wah oo wah wah wah ooooo
Wah oo wah wah wah ooooo

Lydia got asked out by this cute boy at my school, Jim
Apparently she said no 'cause she was just not into him
But clearly that's not true and she's just a lesbian
Or she's fucking crazy and belongs in the looney bin.

Wah oo wah wah wah ooooo
Wah oo wah wah wah ooooo
Wah oo wah wah wah ooooo
Wah oo wah wah wah ooooo

I heard that that girl Lydia plays guitar or some shit
I heard she's in a band like, "Wow you're so cool we get it"
I heard that girl Lydia is nothin' but trouble
So if she comes your way you better book it on the double.

Wah oo wah wah wah ooooo
Wah oo wah wah wah ooooo
Wah oo wah wah wah ooooo
Wah oo wah wah wah

  1. Fantastic Kostas !! Never heard of it. Many thanks.
I improved and sharpened my profile today. It was already about it time.

    1. Josef, this album is amazing! The next two are more Pop oriented, I don't like them.

    2. Ok. Is already ordered. Thanks again.

  2. Will you be posting in MP3 format in the future, or will all posts be FLAC going forward?

    1. All the links will be in Flac, because the MP3 need more space in the uploader and this costs too much. Thank you for your comment.

    2. conversion from flac to mp3 is piss easy

  3. thank you very much again for loving music and giving it to us
