A spin-off series of the Pebbles compilations, released by AIP (Archive International Productions)/AIP Records.
Unlike the Pebbles series – which has been released over an extended period of time by several record
labels and in a variety of formats – the 23 albums in the Highs in the Mid-Sixties series were released only as LPs and in a short time span of 1983 to 1986 (in fact, the 23rd album is the only 1986 release). This is one of the fastest series of releases among garage rock compilation albums. By way of example, the 28 LPs in the Pebbles series were released between 1978 and 1988, and the 20 LPs in the Rubble series were released between 1984 and 2002.
I give you this rare collection (Of 23 Albums) in excellent sound quality (60's Original sound), but not at the highest MP3 or FLAC level, due to copyright reasons. If you really want it you can buy it!

TO BE CONTINUED
Yesterday my friend Erwin told me that there was a real Vienna - Athens connection here. Erwin and other people here had made many reprints of rarities from the 60s. Dimitrie from Greece offered to make them cheaper in Athen ( i knew him personally, but at the time i thought he was a poor student who was very reserved in communication). Now how it all happened was more than adventures, but without going to it in more detail here. But all "left-wing " business. All together and without exception.
ReplyDeleteKostas better not bring my contribution, otherwise my friend will still worry.
ReplyDeleteAmazing series. Thank you.
