The Vogue: Running Fast - The Complete Recordings 2013

This legendary Austrian beat/mod/psychedelic band existed from 1978 to 1982. The album A Doll

Spits Cubes was self-released by the band in an edition of 300, gone in days, once repressed as a bootleg and heavily sought-after in the years to come until today.

The Vogue released two 7" singles, a vinyl album and a couple of tracks on compilations -- all in small,

private underground editions.

The album A Doll Spits Cubes (CFX 004LP) was self-released by the band in an edition of 300 and

was gone in days. It was a great mix of electrifying original songs in addition to covers of The Who, The Kinks, and The Standells. The song "Frozen Seas of Io" made it to #2 in the Austrian charts.

  1. Haha...not bad. I had the lp back then but haven't sold them for a long time, at the end of the 80s. I knew the guy well who produced the lp, died a long time ago and young. Also had a very good collection of lps but a crook. I met a member of the band years later and he told me that they hadn't gotten a cent. That's how it is, a world full of villains ( with a few exceptione). I'll add it to my want list. Thank you Kostas.

  2. The guy who produced and sold the lp also had a record store, one of the one or two best in Vienna. Mostly excessive prices, a capable businessman haha...

    1. I hardly can believe it. It's unbelievable how many downloads has "The Vogue ", maybe because you can find them only on Urban Aspirines, unless there is some other Blog, but I don't know it.
