Tibetan Miracle Seeds are a new psychedelic rock band from Scotland, and the latest signing by
upcoming UK psych record label Fuzzed Up & Astromoon Records. Their music leans heavily towards Anton Newcombe-ian psychedelica, so you better get your sitar and acoustic guitar ready before joining in with these soothing chants.
Tibetan Miracle Seeds is a Psyche Rock band from Dundee, Scotland and it is primarily the creative
venture of Jack McAfee (Vocals, Guitars, Bass, Percussion, Organ, Lap Steel, Didgeridoo, Field Recordings), with other musicians assisting across the bands work, most notably the drum work of Robbie Wilson.
Starting off at the end of the 2010’s as a bedroom project, their debut album Inca Missiles was released
in 2021 on Fuzzed Up & Astromoon Records, quickly gaining a global audience with their blend of indigenous and traditional world music with modern psychedelia and heavy guitars.
The band draws primarily from 60's Psyche Rock, however McAfee also sites the folk music of various
indigenous cultures from around the world as being another notable influence on Tibetan Miracle Seeds. There’s definitely some of that Brian Jonestown Massacre/Dandy Warhols fuzzy laziness going on here, and also Tibetan Miracle Seeds luckily also know how to write some ear worms for your brain to remember them by.
Which is fine by them probably, let them emanate their incense heavy fumes from the periphery for a
while. Their special edition vinyl records are long since gone, so I guess they have found their tribe. You know, those people who just know what a Tibetan Miracle Seed is, even without ever Googling it. Or an Inca Missile for that matter…that’s exactly the kind of tribe that will put these miracle seeds in their pipe and smoke it until they melted all their wellies.
Inca Missiles is a pretty cool debut album with a consistent sound, some real tunes, and killer artwork.
Psychheads know what to do. The follow up album set for release in Summer 2025 was created with live shows in mind, with heavier riffs, progressive arrangements, and memorable hooks.

Thank you dear friend for this ULTRA RARE and unknown band.
ReplyDeleteReleased in 2021 and already either sold out or incredibly expensive. 1 offer on discogs for 67e and that from the USA. Amazing what you know.
Thank you for your support my good 😊 friend.
DeleteI listened to it briefly on bandcamp on my smartphone. I hate that, but at least to get an impression. GREAT psychedelic with a strong far eastern influence.
ReplyDeleteYes Yes Yes. I love them!!!
DeleteI'm currently watching the German crime series DER KOMMISSAR, borrowed from Erwin as dvd. It was filmed and broadcast in black & white from 69-76, a bit like a noir film
ReplyDelete( 73 follow uff...). I devote two hours almost every day. It's not great art but it's exciting. What interests me is that it's set in Munich and the society of the time is well captured. Hippies and others from the alternative scene appear in the series. For example, there's a band that actually existed with a singer who died on abortion. I than did some research but it would lake too long to write everything down here. One of the next episodes is called Death of a Hippie Girl (haha...
Unfortunately I can't find this TV series with Greek subtitles. The last TV series I saw, was "The Sandman" by Neil Gaiman. The comic books were much better, but I don't think that you like comics.
DeleteYes the series never mast it beyond the German speaking world. I saw some episodes 69-71 on TV back then. I can hardly remember them now, except when music played during like Iron Butterfly etc...
DeleteI liked comics as a child.
Comics there were Winnetou, Tarzan, Sigurd, Donald Duck and maybe others, i don't remember.
ReplyDeleteBut now i'm reading Lauth the PHILOSOPHY DOSTOJEWSKI'S, published in 1950, a very rare book.
