O.S.T : The Travelling Birds 2001

Le Peuple Migrateur (also known as" Winged Migration " in the United States, Canada , or " The Travelling Birds " in the United Kingdom , " An adventure in flight " in Australia) , is a 2001 documentary film directed by Jacques Cluzaud, Michel Debats and Jacques Perrin (who was also one of the writers and narrators) showcasing the immense journeys routinely made by birds during their migrations.

The movie was shot over the course of four years on all seven continents.

No special effects were used.
The film was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature.

T REX : Electric Warrior 1971

Marc Bolan . Born as Marc Feld , 30 Sep' 47 , London . He began his performing career under the improbable moniker of Toby Tyler , before ditching it and singing to " Decca " . After 3 floor singles , he enjoyed a brief stint with " Desdemona " before teaming up in 1968 with bongo player Steve Took to form " Tyrannosaurus Rex " . Their debut , mid-68 , albumn was " My People were fair and had sky in their hair...But now they' re content to wear stars on thy brows " .

Then they became T. REX , and Took was replaced by Mickey Finn and gradually the adopted an electic sound .
Electric Warrior was released in Sept. 1971
Like early fan John Peel , Bolan embraced the subsequent Punk takeover and had a new deal with " R.C.A " before he met his untimely death on 16th September 1977 .
In yet another bizzare Rock'n'Roll Death , his girlfriend crashed their car into a tree near Barnes Common , which soon bacame a shrine .

Dust : Dust 1971

Dust was an American hard rock band active in the early 1970s.

Dust was formed in the late 1960s , in New York by Richie Wise (Electric , acustic guitras and vocals), Kenny Aaronson (Bass , slide and pedal steel guitars) and Marc Bell (Drums and percussion) . Additionally, Kenny Kerner wrote the group's lyrics, and acted as their producer and manager. Their debut album was released on Kama Sutra Records in 1971, and was followed by a sophomore release on the same label the following year. While the group only released these two albums, they later became of historical interest to collectors interested in early American hard rock.

The group's members all went on to other projects. Aaronson became a member of Stories in 1973 and worked as a session musician into the 1980s. Wise and Kerner went into production, with Kiss among others. Bell worked with Richard Hell and The Ramones later in the 1970s.

Hawkwind are one of the earliest Space rock groups with lyrics steeped in science fiction and drug effects . Formed in London , England , mid - 69 as GROUP X
They have a heavy Psychedelic sound , full of electronic stabs and sometimes saxophone , following an incredible rhythm section . They released many albums in the '70 s : " In Search Of Space " (1971) , " Warrior On The Edge Of Time " (1975) and the classical Top 3 song " Silver Machine " with LEMMY ( MOTORHEAD ) driving the bass like a beast.
