Marsheaux are a female Synthpop duo from Thessaloniki, Greece.
Comprising of Marianthi and Sophie,
both girls moved to Athens in 2000 and formed the group
to further their appreciation of early 1980s electronic music.
The name Marsheaux is derived from the first syllable of each girl’s name.
Marsheaux came to national prominence in Greece with their debut single,
a darker cover of Hot Butter’s “Popcorn”.
